Around here, apparently, it's going to be ice.
We came home mid-day to work at home since there was no way to tell when that snow was going to become sleet and freezing rain. And if there has to be sleet and freezing rain (and let my history point out--there doesn't!), better to be snug at home than driving the city streets with people who know not what they do.
I've been really boring lately, haven't I? This is what comes of Ms. P working 12-hour days on her office's 480-child Christmas drive and me mooning about, lonely and swamped and hating the holidays. Bo-ring.
I've got several blog posts in my head, about things like what it's like, viscerally, to suddenly live whole parts of your life in an unfamiliar culture, about what things are like when Ms. P is neither depressed nor psychotic, about what it's like to work retail for the first time at 31, about trying to purchase gifts for people who have no hobbies, about all kinds of odd things. First I have to go wrap presents for my family, and then I have to try to clean the coke off of the kitchen floor where some enterprising kitten thought it looked better in a splatter-pattern than it did sitting neatly in its cup on the counter. And then I have to snuggle my lovely Ms. P, since this is the first chunk of time in weeks we've had to spend together. And then I have to pay more attention to the dogs, who have been neglected in our work-fest. And maybe then I'll have the brain space to post things more interesting than the weather.
No. Not boring. But I am looking forward to those posts! Tho I concede snuggling has priority :-)
